Our next recruitment is anticipated to be held in 2025, with exact dates TBD.

 

A search is an emergency and can happen at any time. We look for enthusiastic people who are ready to be deployed to the field at a moment’s notice, participate in ongoing training, contribute at committee meetings, support the AdventureSmart education program and participate in community engagement events.

We are looking for volunteers with the following criteria:  

  • Over 18 years old
  • Able to contribute minimum of 40 hours per year, after basic training
  • Available to attend mandatory 65-hour basic training program
  • Have a valid Standard First Aid Certificate (current within six months of expiry). Don't apply unless you will have your First Aid Certificate in time for the start of training
  • Must be willing to submit and pass a Police Enhanced Security Clearance
  • Payment of a $300 uniform deposit required at first day of training

Successful applicants often have the following attributes:

  • Dedicated to helping people and the community
  • Willing to regularly attend searches, training, committee meetings and community events
  • Good physical condition
  • A collaborative team player
  • Volunteer and community oriented
  • Commitment!
