Calgary Search and Rescue Geocaches
We have hidden a number of geocaches to provide search training for members of Calgary Search and Rescue Association and for members of the public.
You are welcome to try to find these caches. They are small, clear plastic containers clearly marked "Calgary Search and Rescue Training Geocache" and they contain a logbook and some small prizes.
If you find one, we encourage you to leave a note in the logbook and help yourself to a prize. If you want, you can follow geocaching etiquette and take a prize and replace it with some other small prize.
What are the rules?
There aren't many rules for geocaching. Check out www.geocaching .com for some guidelines and tips. If you have any questions or comments about these geocaches, please send us an email at *geocache@calsara.com*
How do I get better at this?
Searching for these geocaches is great practice of navigation and observation. If you want to develop these skills even further you can consider joining our Search and Rescue team. We offer extensive training on map, compass and GPS navigation and effective search techniques in city or in backcountry environments.
